F-8P
belonging to 12F of the French Aeronavalle is one of the nine last operational Crusaders
worldwide. It is seen here during a visit to the anniversary of the OCU at Kleine Brogel
airbase in Belgium last June. Note the big "Donald Duck" emblem of 12F on the
tail. |

An OH-58B
of the Austrian Air Force seen during Alpine landing training in the Alps. The 11 OH-58Bs
are based at 3 Staffel / Flieger Regiment 1 at Tulln-Langenlebarn. |

In total
23 Drakens guard the skies over Austria and will have to continue to do so for a few years
longer than originally anticipated. This example is flown by 1 Staffel / Flieger Regiment
2 at Zeltweg airbase. |

Within a
few months the last six operational AB-204Bs will be at the end of their airframe hours.
The helicopter has been in use by the 2 Staffel / Flieger Regiment 3 at Linz-Horsching for
more than 35(!) years. |

A popular
aircraft in the Austrian AF is the PC-6 Turbo Porter. Due to it's STOL capacity and
roughness it is very well used in the mountain areas of Austria. This example is from the
Flachen Staffel / Flieger Regiment 1 at Tulln-Langenlebarn but some Porters are also
detached at Wiener-Neustadt. |

Indeed the
Austrians have a demoteam again. It is called Kleeblatt (Shamrock) and operates with four
AB-206A Jet Rangers painted with white arrows on the fuselage. Eleven AB-206As are based
at Tulln-Langenlebarn in 3 Staffel / Flieger Regiment 1. |

How nice
can an ugly aircraft look! This SC-7 Shorts Skyvan is one of two in the Austrian AF and
has recently recieved a two tone camouflage scheme. They belong to the Flachen Staffel
based at Tulln-Langenlebarn. |
 |
For basic
and advanced training the Austrian AF operates 16 PC-7 Turbo trainers in these nice
camouflage colours. Why paint a trainer in boring colours when they can shine in
camouflage? Indeed they can be armed wity gunpods and dumb bombs for CAS when nessecary. |
