Combining Boys' Favorites, Power Rangers and Dinosaurs,
Toyline Promises Intense Action

NEW YORK, February 11, 2004 – Toppling the competition and securing its position as one of the most successful boys action figure brands for more than a decade, Power Rangers is back for its 12th season. Bandai America Incorporated announced the brand's newest line today: Power Rangers DinoThunder – combining a completely new line of action figures, megazords, vehicles, playsets, die-cast, role-play items and trading cards with a perennial favorite theme among boys – dinosaurs. The line will also include new toys, such as raptor cycles and all terrain vehicles (ATVs).

In 2003, Bandai America built on the success of the Power Rangers franchise with the Ninja Storm toyline, featuring the award-winning Mobile Control Center which earned the title of "All Star" by Toy Wishes Magazine's holiday issue and a finalist position for the Toy Industry Association's "Boy Toy of the Year." Capturing the limitless imagination of boys 3-8, the strength of the Power Rangers property continues to gain momentum with an amazing average of over 600 Power Rangers sold every hour in the United States.

"The steady and continual success of the Power Rangers toyline demonstrates that the brand is as relevant to kids today as it was twelve years ago," said Bill Beebe, senior vice president, sales and marketing at Bandai America. "While continually reinvigorating our line with new, innovative toys and game play, we are always addressing the brand's core themes of teamwork and good over evil, which has propelled Power Rangers to the top of the sales charts."

"Disney Consumer Products is committed to supporting the Power Rangers franchise, working in concert with Bandai to develop great toys," said Joe Lawandus, vice president, Global Toys, Disney Consumer Products. "The show's core traits of teamwork and doing what's right has resonated with children, particularly boys, for over a decade and we are excited about opportunities related to the show."

Power Rangers DinoThunder, the 12th year of the phenomenal Power Rangers franchise, focuses on average teens who take on extraordinary powers of the legendary morphers and super megazords. They are transformed into superheroes challenged to defend Earth against a mad scientist who will stop at nothing to take over the world. The Power Rangers DinoThunder premiered as part of the new Jetix programming block Saturday, February 14 on ABC Family and will be seen there every Saturday and Sunday (8:30 a.m., ET/PT). It also premiered that same night during the Jetix programming block (7:30 p.m.) on Toon Disney and will also be seen Saturday and Sundays (7:30 p.m., ET/PT) thereafter. In addition, Power Rangers DinoThunder premieres on the ABC Television Network's ABC Kids Saturday, February 21 (11:30 a.m., ET/10:30 a.m., CT/PT and 12:00 noon ET/11:00 a.m., CT/PT).

Bandai America has introduced a complete, expanded line of innovative and interactive Power Rangers products for the year, including new offerings such as ATV vehicles and trading cards. About Power Rangers
Over the past twelve years, the Power Rangers have been on Earth, in space, on the moon, under water, traveling through time, in the jungle and anywhere evil lurks. They've battled Rita Repulsa, Divatox, Master Org, Dark Spector, Toxica, Jindrax and many more evil-doers – villains who have been shrunk to miniatures, tossed in jail reduced to ooze or banished. Over time, the brand has maintained its themes of teamwork, honesty, loyalty, courage, family, friends and above all, the victory of good over evil.
