Kaspersky Labs, a leading information
security software developer, invites you to visit the company's stand at CeBIT 2004, an
international IT exhibition being held from 18th - 24th March 2004 at Hannover in Germany
(Hall 6, Stand H 18).
Spam protection for all users
At CeBIT, for the first time Kaspersky
Labs will present a full range of products which offer protection against spam. Kaspersky
Anti-Spam which has already gained popularity among enterprise users will be on display,
as well as new Anti-Spam products: for Internet service providers and for home users*,
will be demonstrated. All products come with professional support and updates to the
anti-spam databases are released every two hours.
Kaspersky Anti-Spam ISP Edition is a high
performance spam filter for systems running Linux and FreeBSD, which works at ISP provider
level. The system detects and filters unsanctioned messages while mail is being received
via SMTP protocol. Spam is therefore filtered out before messages are delivered to end
users' mail boxes. Kaspersky Anti-Spam ISP Edition is designed to optimize work with large
volumes of data and has a minimal effect on mail system performance.
Kaspersky Anti-Spam Personal is designed
to protect home computers and networked workstations from spam. The product is integrated
with the popular mail programs Microsoft Outlook 2000 (2002) and Microsoft Outlook
Express. Kaspersky Anti-Spam Personal launches in tandem with the mail program and
provides multi-tier filtering of all incoming messages, filtering out up to 95% of spam.
*The product for home users will be on
sale from April 2004.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus: Supporting New
The Kaspersky Labs stand will also include the company's very latest anti-virus products:
Kaspersky‚ Anti-Virus 5.0 for Samba Server and Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Microsoft ISA
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Samba Server
One of the merits of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Samba Server is the inclusion of
iChecker technology, one of the latest Kaspersky Labs developments. When conducting
anti-virus scans, the number of operations is reduced thanks to the fact that the program
compares information which already exists about files placed on the server. If there is no
information about the file requested, a full scan of the object will be carried out.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Samba Server is fully scalable and increases performance in
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Microsoft
ISA Server is a system offering control over files which enter via HTTP and FTP protocols
via the Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server firewall. The product is fully
integrated with Microsoft Management Console, the ISA administration system. The product
offers administrators a wide range of useful functions; among the most important are the
ability to configure anti-virus scanning parameters, and to create user groups according
to any criteria. Anti-virus protection is optimized by allowing administrators to create
lists of trusted servers, and list of object types within user groups which do not need to
be scanned for viruses when exchanged.
Real Protection against Hackers from
Also on display at the Kaspersky Labs stand will be the current version of Kaspersky
Anti-Hacker 1.5, the widely-used product which protects against hacker attacks. The
program's interface is formatted in the style of Windows XP. The initial configuration of
the program has been simplified, with the level of network activity permitted for the most
commonly used applications being determined by default in accordance with their type. The
user is also offered the choice to determine a range of ports for packet filtration rules
and for filtering data in attachments. This function also makes it possible to set one
rule for a whole group of potentially dangerous IP addresses. In addition to this, the
program is now also able to detect new types of Internet attack (SmbDie and
Helkern/Slammer), and supports ADSL modems.
