Nissan North America, Inc. today announced pricing for the redesigned 2005 Nissan Altima, which is scheduled to go on sale at Nissan dealers nationwide in February 2004. For 2005, Altima Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price increases slightly to reflect the numerous exterior and interior improvements and the added horsepower for V6 models. The popular Altima 2.5 S with automatic transmission features a MSRP of $19,550, while the all-new, top-of-the-line Altima 3.5 SL model with V6 engine and automatic transmission features a MSRP of $26,900.

Complete pricing and option packages are available on the attached sheet (Download Excel file from the asset column on the right).

"For the past few years, Altima has been an absolute all-star in the Nissan lineup and the dramatic improvements now feed that momentum," said Mark McNabb, vice president and general manager, Nissan Division. "The enhancements made to Altima's exterior and interior, along with the continued aggressive pricing, bring a new excitement to an already great car."

In 2005, Altima receives a dramatic overhaul starting with a new interior. Improvements include a new instrument panel design, center console, trim finishes, 3-spoke steering wheel, upgraded seat material, headliner and added chrome accents and chrome door handles along with newly available features such as a DVD-based navigation system.

On the outside, the 2005 Altima receives significant styling enhancements, including new smoked headlamps and taillights, a restyled smooth front fascia with a distinctive raised hood design, Nissan family grille, chrome accents on SL models, new wheels and two new exterior colors. Also, Altima's V6 engine has been refined to produce five more horsepower.

The Altima 3.5 SL is new for 2005. It builds on the 3.5 SE and adds leather-appointed seating surfaces, power sunroof, Bose® audio system, heated front seats, automatic temperature control, Homelink® Universal Transceiver, HID headlights, chrome body side molding and 16-inch alloy wheels with 215/60R16 tires.

The Altima brings to the segment an unmatched blend of performance, style and value. With its distinctive exterior design, choice of powerful 4-cylinder or V6 engines, performance-oriented suspension and fresh interior, Altima injects passion into the driver with a robust performance and offers an escape from the traditional four-door sedan. In North America, Nissan's operations include automotive styling, engineering, consumer and corporate financing, sales and marketing, distribution and manufacturing.
