The Herlong Mansion began as a small 'Cracker-style' house with a detached kitchen built around 1845. The red brick Greek revival structure was built over the old house in 1910.Adorning the front of the house are four white two-story Corinthian columns. Inside the house are 10 fireplaces, leaded glass windows, twelve-foot high ceilings, mission oak woodwork, mahogany inlaid floors, tiger oak, and pine.There are 4 suites, 5 rooms and 2 cottages -- all with private bathrooms. The interior is decorated in Victorian antiques, and the Arts and Crafts style is evident throughout the first floor woodwork.
